JnU students fearing of session jam

JnU: Students of Jagannath University expressed their fear as its teachers’ association has kept work abstention continue.

As part of the indefinite work abstention in public universities across the countrywide the Jagannath University Teachers Association (JnUTA) are continuing the program demanding the fulfillment of the promises and removing inconsistencies from the 8th national wage structure.

No classes and examinations are being held on JnU campus due to the abstention program.

Campus sources said the teachers of various departments are not come on the campus as the association’s teachers are carrying out the program with some of its executive members.

Some from progressive student fronts alleged that most of the departments of their campus are facing acute session jam but now it has increased by the abstention program.

They want to return to their academic activities soon.

JnUTA president Professor Kazi Saifuddin said that the government had discriminated them in the new pay scale.

They will be continued the program until their demands are met, he added.
