JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: Jagannath University (JnU) teachers’ are continuing the work abstention, declared by Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA), for the fourth consecutive day protesting the structure of 8th National Pay Scale.

Teachers were seen observing sit-ins on Central Shahid Minar premise on Dhaka University campus.

No class and examinations are being taken place with slow administrative works.

Meanwhile, students expressed their anxiety over the possibility of session jam due to the teachers’ abstention.

Jagannath University Teachers’ Association (JnUTA) general secretary Dr Nure Alam Abdullah told banglanews that they will continue movement until any visible result is seen.

Teachers of 37 public universities have been observing work abstention since January 11.
