PATUAKHALI: Students of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) released the vice-chancellor (VC) and other teachers and officials form about 17 hours of confinement in their respective rooms in the administrative building.

The agitating PSTU students postponed their movement and left the administrative building around 3:00 am on Wednesday (March 22). Later, the PSTU VC Prof Dr Harun or Rahsid, teachers of the officials came out of their respective rooms.  

Proctor committee’s chief of the PSTU Dr Purnendu Biswas told the Banglanews that the students postponed their movement following an assurance in favour of their demand.  

The students confined the VC and others around 10:00 am on Monday (March 21) after locking the gates of administrative building and main entrances of the university demanding withdrawal of semester drop system by introducing special system.
