PIROJPUR: Primary and mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman said the government will initiate ‘midday meal’ system in all primary schools across the country by May 31.

He made the announcement while addressing as chief guest at rally in Gopalkrishna town club in Pirojpur on Thursday (April 26).

The minister said no primary schools were nationalized during British and Pakistan period. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman initiated the process in 1973 and in that continuation his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nationalized thousands of primary schools in 2014. 

Moreover, primary schools will be established in the villages that currently don’t have one and construction project of two-storied buildings in all single storey schools will be implemented, he added.
