JU Registrar freed after 9-day

DHAKA: Registrar of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Abu Bakar Siddque and Deputy Registrar Abu Hasan finally released from confine after nine straight days.

They were freed as agitating teachers withdrew their strike on request officers’ association on Tuesday.

General Secretary of University Officers’ Association Abdur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Pro-Awami League and pro-BNP teachers loyal of former vice-chancellor Sharif Enamul Kabir confined the registrars in academic building nine days ago.
