Secondary, higher secondary and universities across the country will reopen on February 22, said education minister Dipu Moni on Thursday (Feb 17).

She made the announcement at a press briefing at the Secretariat in the capital this morning.

The minister said: “Only the students who received two doses of vaccine against Covid-19 will be allowed to attend the classes.”

All must have to follow health guidelines strictly, Dipu Moni added.

On Wednesday night, the National Technical Advisory Committee formed to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, advised the government to reopen the educational institutions across the country from February 22 as infections rate has gone down here.

On January 21, the schools and colleges of the country remained closed since January 21 in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
