Kaushik Hossain Taposh, the chairman of music-based television channel Gaan Bangla, was arrested in connection with a genocide case filed in Capital's Uttara Police Station.
Members of Uttara East Police Station detained Taposh from Uttara area on Sunday night.
The case, filed in July-August, alleges involvement of Taposh in incidents of mass violence.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Uttara Division, Rownak Jahan, confirmed the matter.
