Arif Hasan, managing director of private television channel Desh TV, was arrested from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on early Sunday (Nov 17).

Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media and public relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter.

A team of the Airport police station held him from the airport on Saturday night, he added. 

Arif is accused in an attempted murder case filed with the Airport police station during the recent student-led movement, he said.
