After reports surfaced this weekend that singer Justin Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin got engaged in the Bahamas, the singer has decided to confirm the news himself.

On Instagram, he posted a photo slideshow of the two locked in a loving embrace. It was accompanied by a lengthy caption. "You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother [sic] so well," he wrote. "It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense!"

He also referenced his family, and God. "The thing I am most excited for is that my little brother and sister get to see another healthy stable marriage and look for the same. Gods [sic] timing really is literally perfect, we got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection."

Several minutes later, Baldwin shared the news too. “Not sure what I did in life to deserve such happiness but I am so utterly grateful to God for giving me such an incredible person to share my life with! No words could ever express my gratitude,“ she wrote.

Bieber and Baldwin were first linked in 2016, after the singer posted a series of photos of himself with Baldwin in St. Barth's. They have dated on and off since then, and publicly rekindled their romance this June. Recently, they were spotted in color-coordinating outfits in New York City.

Bieber's father, Jeremy, seemingly commented on the engagement on Sunday. Posting a picture of his son on Instagram, he wrote "Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!"

Photos have also surfaced of Baldwin wearing a large diamond ring beachside, but there's been no engagement ring confirmation from the couple themselves. It looks like the world will have to wait for another Instagram.
