Popular small screen actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka with coronavirus infection on Wednesday.

He is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

Apurba's close friend and producer Mizanur Rahman Ariyan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Ariyan said the actor tested positive for the virus on Monday after showing symptoms, including high fever.

Later he was admitted to hospital as his condition deteriorated on Tuesday midnight, he added.
