A fire broke out at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mugda Medical College and Hospital in the capital on Thursday afternoon. 

The fire that originated around 12:30pm at the hospital building, was been brought under control after around half an hour of frantic efforts.

Enayet Hossain, deputy assistant director of Fire Service, said, on information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 1:00pm.

However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately and no causality has been reported so far.
