The movie 'MR-9’ is based on ‘Masud Ranas’s spy-thriller series 'Dhongso pahar'. The film will be directed by Asif Akbar, a Hollywood director of Bangladeshi origin.

Asif said to banglanews24 that the character of Masud Rana is very iconic to the people of Bangladesh, even “I have been familiar with the character of Masud Rana since childhood, you can say, I grew up imagining this character”.

I've always wanted to present this character to the world. At the same time I wanted to highlight Bangladesh globally, said Asif.

All “I can say is that 'MR-9' will be unique compared to the other James Bond films and presented to the global arena in a fresh manner”.

Asif, In the end, said, the movie will be released by 2023 globally. However, this also depends on the distributors.
