Two dengue patients died and 70 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

During the period, 24 Dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city, while 46 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

This year, the total number of cases rose to 357 while 3 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.

In the past 24 hours, 88 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals. Among the total cases, 947 patients have already been released, the DGHS statement added.

Last year, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue and a total of 575 people died from dengue.
