A total of 33 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The cases were distributed as follows: 4 in Barishal, 6 in Chattogram, 6 in Dhaka, 4 in Dhaka North, 8 in Dhaka South, 1 in Mymensingh, 1 in Sylhet, and 3 in Khulna.

So far, the total number of dengue cases this year has reached 1,054, with 9 deaths reported. In comparison, last year saw 101,214 cases and 575 deaths.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and urge the public to take preventive measures against the disease.
