RaMCH interns go on indefinite strike

RANGPUR: The intern doctors of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RaMCH) on Monday went on strike for an indefinite period, to realize their two-point demands---security of intern doctors and punishment of attackers.

Intern Doctor Abu Bakkar Siddik told banglanews, “A gang of miscreants attacked at intern doctors’ hostel, vandalized and looted valuables on Sunday afternoon, leaving an intern doctor injured.”

Following the incident, the intern doctors called the indefinite strike causing immense sufferings to patients of the metropolitan.

RaMCH Acting Director Dr Abdus Salam told banglanews, “We are trying to make a halt of the strike and discussion is underway in this connection.”
