‘Don’t forget to feed Vitamin A to children’

DHAKA: Health and Family Welfare state minister Zahid Malek on Saturday (December 10) urged parents and guardians not to forget to feed vitamin-A Plus capsule to their children to boost childhood immunity and ensure their normal growth.

He made the request during inaugurating the vitamin-A Plus camp at Dhaka Shishu Hospital in the morning.

Ministry sources said around 2.10-crore children will be fed with vitamin-A Plus capsule in 1.40-lakh centers across the country on Saturday.

The children aged between 6 to 11 months will be fed blue color vitamin-A capsule and children aged between 12-59 months with red color capsule.

Health directorate DG Abul Kalam Azad, additional secretary to the ministry Roksana Kader and Dhaka Shishu Hospital director Professor Dr. Manzoor Hussain also addressed the program here.
