Bangladesh reports 21 deaths, 2,111 corona cases in 24-hr

Bangladesh today confirmed 21 deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 6,279. 

According to the Health authorities, 2,111 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 438,795.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

As 1,893 patients have recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recoveries reached 354,788, it also said.

A total of 2,589,421 samples have been tested so far with 16,469 samples tested in 117 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country in last 24 hours, the release added.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
