India added 13,052 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to more than 1.07 crore in the world’s second-worst infected country, according to the Health Ministry

The country also reported 127 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

With 13,965 recoveries, the total recoveries reached 1,04,23,125. Till date Covid has claimed 1,54,274 lives in India. Further, Active cases stood at 1,68,784.

Active coronavirus cases in India continued to decline at a time the government inoculates citizens against the deadly pathogen while assuring that the vaccines are safe. 

PM Narendra Modi said India's vaccination drive is not only the world's largest vaccine programme but also the fastest in reaching out to the people being vaccinated. 

In 15 days since the drive took off over 30 lakh Corona warriors have been vaccinated. It too America 18 days and Britain 36 days to reach this number.
