Bangladesh sees highest covid-19 deaths in 3 months

Bangladesh reported its highest daily number of coronavirus-related deaths in three months on Monday (March 15) as new infections continued to climb.

The country has confirmed 26 deaths from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 8,571.

According to the Health authorities, 1,773 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 559,168.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in last year while first death on March 18 in that year.
