2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccination begins April 8

The government will start administering the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday (April 8) as inoculation of the first dose ends Tuesday.

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam was briefing journalists after Cabinet meeting on Monday.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has informed that they will soon receive more doses of vaccine," he said.

The Prime Minister virtually joined the Cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh today confirmed 52 deaths from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 9,318. 

According to the Health authorities, 7,075 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 644,439.
