Dengue: 409 hospitalised in last 24 hours

The country reported 409 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Friday morning (Oct 21), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 304 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 105 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 2,182 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 1,025 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 29,107 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 25,790 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 110 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
