DHAKA: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by her Facebook friend and his two accomplices in Jind on Monday.

Accused Ram Niwas, alias Raj Fauji, and his two friends were booked for gangrape and criminal intimidation on Monday evening.

The woman had reportedly married a local youth in Jind last year. She came in contact with Raj Fauji through Facebook and the two shared their numbers.

In her complaint, she said that the accused offered to take her for a Hindi movie but instead took her to a farmhouse near Bibipur where he and his friends raped her.

Later, she disclosed the matter to her husband and they filed a complaint with the police.

ASI Kamlesh Kumar said the victim has been medically examined and police are conducting raids to arrest the trio.
