DHAKA: A 6.8 magnitude earthquake hits the territories of 150km north-west of Kota Ternate city in North Maluku province in Indonesia.

The jolt is recorded in the area at 20:33pm local time.

The US Geological Survey publishes the report on Wednesday.

But they did not mention any possibility of Tsunami alert.
