DHAKA: Ten people were killed and 20 other injured as a bus fell into a ditch in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district of India early Monday.

Sources said the accident occurred as the driver of a private bus traveling from Chhattisgarh’s Raipur to Patna lost control of the bus, after which it overturned and fell into a ditch around 3:00am (Indian time).

The injured in the accident are presently undergoing treatment at Garhwa’s Civil Hospital, reports the NDTV.

The number of dead in the accident is feared to rise, say authorities.
