Elon Musk puts his $44 billion deal with Twitter "temporarily on hold," saying that he wants more details about how many fake or spam accounts there are on Twitter.

Musk is checking if the number of fake or spam accounts is less than 5 per cent of the total Twitter users, Elon Musk is now waiting for that information, Reported the British media BBC on Friday (May 13).

Meanwhile, after the announcement, the price of Twitter fell by 25 per cent in the stock market.
Two weeks ago, Twitter reported that the number of fake accounts in the first three months of this year was less than five per cent of the total users. Musk is now verifying that information.

Under the terms of the deal, Twitter would pay him 1 billion in damages if the deal did not end.

Elon Musk wants to get rid of all fake or spam accounts from Twitter. However, Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
