DHAKA: A college student was killed in a road accident in front of Gausul Azam market in Nilkhet area of the capital on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sajedul Islam alias Saddam, a HSC University Laboratory School and College, son of Rafiqul Islam hails from Bramhanbaria district.

Witness said a rashly driven bus rammed Saddam while he was crossing the road around 2.45pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of New Market Thana Yasir Arafat confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The body was kept in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, he added.
