Server glitch disrupts Eid train ticket sales

Commuters failed to buy train tickets for the second day of Eid journey due to a glitch in shohoz.com server today (April 8). 

They, however, again brought the allegation of selling tickets in the black market after failing to buy the tickets online.

Today is the second day of the advance train ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr. Like Friday, there are huge pressure for buying tickets online as all the tickets will sale online this time.

The authorities started selling tickets at 8am. After a while, the ticket seekers were facing troubles as sever was not working.

Banglanews correspondent tried but Sandeep Debnath, executive officer of Sahaj JV was not available over the phone for giving his remark in this regard.

Some, however, failed to go Rail Sheba app due to server problem.

On Friday, tickets were booked within a minute.

In the Facebook group 'Bangladesh Railway Helpline', the passengers have mentioned their sufferings to buy train tickets.

A person named MD Javed wrote: this server remains out of work, cannot be logged in for the last two hours, but tickets are being sold.

Another person named Bakhtiar Rahman said that the server could not be accessed in any way.

Many are also criticizing the lack of special trains of North Bengal routes despite the demand.

A passenger named Masud Rana wrote: "There are no people to buy tickets in Sylhet. But in our North Bengal tickets are not found soon after 8 am. So, what is the meaning of giving so many trains to Sylhet! Even on the occasion of Eid, Rangpur division could provide 2 more trains!"
