Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (56 BGB) recovered two touchstone idols and three stones from the border area in Panchagarh on Thursday (April 9).

According to information, Nilphamari 56 BGB Battalion recovered the idols and stones from a betel nut garden in Balrampur village on the border of Barashashi Union of Boda Upazila of Panchagarh district late night on Saturday (April 8) after conducting a raid.

The estimated price of the statue is Tk 33.05 lakh.

Nilphamari 56 BGB battalion captain Lt. Colonel Asaduzzaman Hakim confirmed this to Banglanews.

The BGB team recovered a Vishnu idol weighing 12 kg 650 grams, a Buddha idol weighing 9 kg 700 grams and three hard stones weighing 23 kg, the official added.
