Kushtia district transport owners and workers group on Monday called off their indefinite transport strike in Jhenaidah.

The decision was taken after holding a talk with the Kushtia district administration held at deputy commissioner’s office on Monday (April 10) afternoon.

Akter Hossain, president of Kushtia Bus Minibus Owners' Association confirmed the matter. 

Earlier, Kushtia District Bus Owners and Workers called the strike on Friday on the two routes--Kushtia-Khulna and Kushtia-Faridpur following an assault on some of their fellow workers by the Jhenaidah district motor workers at Kaliganj in Jhenaidah on Friday (April 7) over launching new trips on the routes.
