Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) seized 10 gold bars worth Tk 1 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Monday.

Mohammad Ziaul Haque, additional superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion police confirmed the matter.

He said two suspicious objects wrapped in black scotch tape were found inside a dustbin near the No. 5 baggage belt area of the airport this noon.

Later 10 gold bars were found there weighing 1.160 kg, the official also said.

The seized gold bars were deposited in the customs warehouse, he added.
