The fire that broke out at a building in old Dhaka's Chawkbazar area on Tuesday (April 11) morning has been brought under control.

A total of seven firefighting units managed to douse the fire at 12:05pm. 

Earlier, the fire started around 10:45am, Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Officer Anwarul Islam Dolon said.

No casualty has been reported in the incident yet.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately, he added.
