At least 15 passengers were injured after a bus of Bihongo Paribahan turned turtle on the road in Chandrima Udyan area of the capital on Wednesday (April 19) morning.

The accident took place around 9:30am.

According to eyewitnesses, the Bihongo Paribahan Mirpur-bound bus hit a roadside inland and turned turtle in Chandrima Udyan area as its driver lost control over the steering.

The injured were admitted to local hospital, they added.

Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station SI Md Nazrul Islam said the driver and helper of the bus managed to flee.
