Two persons were killed and four others injured after a bus hit an auto-rickshaw on Netrokona-Mymensingh road in Shamganj area of Netrokona on Friday (April 21) morning.

All the victims are the passengers of the auto-rickshaw. One of the deceased was identified as Sakib, hailed from Ishabpur.

According to police and locals, a Netrokona-bound bus of 'Ikra Paribahan' from Mymensingh collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw around 7am in Shamganj area of the district, leaving two persons dead on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were sent to a hospital for treatment.

Shamganj Highway Police Outpost in-charge Manjurul Huq confirmed the matter.

He said; "The bus is yet to be seized. The body was recovered and brought to the police station. The necessary legal action is under process in this regard."
