DHAKA: Australian High Commissioner to Dhaka Greg Wilcock met with newly appointed Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali on Wednesday afternoon.

After the meeting, the diplomat told journalists that this is the first meet with the new foreign minister. They discussed the bilateral issues during the parley.

He urged all the political parties to make a consensus through a dialogue and to avoid violence.

Earlier, US Ambassador to Dhaka Dan W Mozena, Indian High Commissioner Pankaj Saran and Chinese Ambassador Li Jun met with the foreign minister after he took office.
