Police have arrested four members of a robbery gang for committing crime on different city streets by a pickup van.

The arrestees were identified as Sohel, 30, Akter alias Sohrab, 32, Abir Hossain alias Rassel, 25, and Rony, 28.

According to information, the robbery incidents happened from May 12 to 14. During this period, the gang robbed at least four people including a female police constable on Dhaka streets. They also stole a pickup van five to six days ago which they used for the robbery.

Hayatul Islam Khan, deputy commissioner of Motijheel Division Police, confirmed the matter during a press briefing on Tuesday (May 16).
