COMILLA: Train communications on Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet routes were halted as six compartments of Godhuli Express derailed after fishplates were removed by blockaders in Rajapur area of the district at 7:40pm Sunday.

Superintendent of Akhaura Station Moatleb Ali told banglanews that the Dhaka-bound train derailed in the mid area of Rajapur and Shashidal railways stations in Burichang.

Confirming the matter, Loco-shed In-Charge Mohsin Bhuiyan said that rescue train was on the way.
