A youth died in a head-on collision between a private car and CNG driven auto rickshaw in Narshingdi on Friday (June 9). 

The incident happened at Vagdi Kodomtola on Ghorashal-Panchdona regional highway this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rakib Mia, 22, a CNG driver, who hailed from Jhartola area of Asmandir Char, son of Molli Mia.

Quoting locals police said Rakib's auto rickshaw collided head-on with a private car while going to Panchdona from Ghorashal around 4:50 pm. At that time, he was critically injured. Later, Rakib died on the way to the hospital.

Ghorashal police outpost's Sub Inspector Harunur Rashid Confirmed the matter. 

There was no passenger in the CNG during the incident. Action in this regard will be taken soon, he said
