DHAKA: The government appointed new divisional commissioner of Dhaka and deputy commissioner of Khulna on Tuesday as per the demand of Election Commissioner (EC).

Additional Secretary of Health and Family Planning Ministry M Zillar Rahman was made Dhaka divisional commissioner.

Besides, deputy project director of identification system for enhancing access to services project, Anis Mahmud was made Khulna deputy commissioner.

Separate gazette notifications were issued by public administration ministry on Tuesday.

Election Commissioner (EC) sought the reshuffle on Monday.
