Light to moderate rain likely: Met office 

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country in 24 hours commencing at 9 am today (July 7).

According to the Net office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind  is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal,  Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi and Dhaka  divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country. 

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends to the Northeast Bay. 

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over the North Bay. Deep convection is taking place over the North Bay.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 36.0 degree Celsius at Rajshahi district and today's minimum temperature 25.0 degree Celsius was recorded jointly at Rangamati and Bandarban districts.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 67 
millimeters (mm) at Chandpur.

The sun sets at 06.50 pm today and rises at 05.17 am tomorrow in the capital.
