NARAYANGANJ: At least three people killed and two others injured in a head-on-collision between a Covered Van and a private car on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kanchpur area of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Jasim Uddin, 36, Mostafa Mia, 70 and Abdul Alim, 32.

Sources said that a Dhaka-bound private car collided head-on with a covered van in the area at around 06:00am and the car fell into roadside ditch, leaving three passengers dead on the spot and injured others.

Meanwhile, the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Kanchpur highway police outpost in-charge Sohel confirmed the matter to banglanews.
