NARAYANGANJ: At least five people were injured as blockaders torched a bus on Dhaka-Narayanganj link road in Fatullah Chandmari area of the district on Sunday morning.

Sources said that in support of blockade, 20/25 youths brought out a procession and set fire to a passenger bus at around 7:30 am by pouring petrol, leaving five people injured.

On the other hand, Fatullah Thana Juba Dal brought out a procession and blasted some cocktails at around 7:00am. Later, police rushed to the spot and dispersed them.

Narayanganj District police special branch Inspector Moinur Rahman told banglanews, “Police held two people in this connection.”
