After an 8-month suspension, rail services on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route finally resumed this morning (August 1).

Train movement on the route started at 7 am.

On December 4, 2022, the railways announced the indefinite suspension of train services on the Dhaka-Narayanganj route, causing inconvenience to thousands of commuters and affecting transportation in the region.

Mr. Siraj Ud-Daula Khan, the Senior Information Officer of the Railway Ministry, confirmed the resumption of train movement on this vital route.

With this development, commuters expect improved accessibility and smoother travel, boosting economic activities and connectivity between the two important cities.
