A Bangladeshi man was shot dead by miscreants in South Africa around 8:30 pm on Monday night (Bangladesh Time).

The deceased Majedul Hasan Laki, 48, was son of Latif member of South Azibpur area under Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj.

Majedul’s brother-in-law Mofiz Hossain Moju confirmed the incident.

According to Moju, Majedul migrated to South Africa in 2007. He was staying there with his wife and children. Assailants opened fire while he was returning home from his workplace via a vehicle, leaving him dead on the spot.

The family is taking step to bring back Majedul’s body from South Africa.
