Election Commissioner (EC) Anisur Rahman said the next parliamentary polls schedule will be announced in November this year.

He made the remark while talking with reporters at the EC office in Dhaka’s Agargaon on Wednesday (August 9).

Anisur Rahman also said except in remote areas, the ballot papers will be sent to the polling stations on the day of the election.

Earlier, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that according to the roadmap, the election will be held at the end of December or the beginning of January. 

In this case, CEC estimated that the schedule may be announced by the end of October or the first half of November.
