DHAKA: Hasan Jamil, son of Abdul Quader Mollah termed the execution of his father would be a political killing.

He came up with the observation while talking to journalists at Dhaka central jail gate on Tuesday evening.

Jamil said government executing his father for Islamic movement and it’s a political killing.

Quader Mollah will be buried at his village home, he added.

On the other hand, the execution of Jamaat leader Quader Mollah, convicted in war crime cases, has been halted till Wednesday morning.

Supreme Court Chamber Judge Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the stay order on Tuesday night.

As per the order, the sentence has been stayed until 10:30am Wednesday.
