CHITTAGONG: Islami Chhatra Shibir activists attacked Chittagong University Police Outpost and also brought out a procession on the campus immediately after the execution of Quader Mollah on Thursday night.

Witnesses said hundreds of Shibir activists brought out the procession in campus area protesting the execution of the senior Jamaat leader around 10:30pm.

At one stage, the agitated Shibir protesters vandalized police outpost and showed their condemnation against the death penalty.

Confirming the matter Acting Proctor of the varsity Dr Khan Tauhid Osman said that the law enforcers are on alert condition to avert further violence in the campus area.
