LAMA (BANDARBAN): An 11-year boy was killed and 12 others injured in a road accident on Goyalmara-Eidgor road under Lama Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Arafat Mia, 11, son of Nuru Mia, hailed from Goyalmara area of the upazila.

The injured were rushed to Chakaria and Naikkhongchhari Upazila Health Complex.

Witnesses said a Goyalmara-bound jeep (locally known as Chander Gari) plunged into a roadside ditch near Jafar Alam’s rubber garden area on Goyalmara-Eidgor road as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving Arafat dead on the spot and 12 others injured.

Officer-in-Charge of Naikkhongchhari M Rafikul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
