Hundreds of garment employees of JK Fashion took to the street in Mirpur's Shewrapara demanding dues today (October 5).

Commuters were seen suffering immensely as traffic movement from Mirpur to Framgate was halted since 9am after workers staged demonstrations blocking roads. 

However, the police brought the situation under control after three hours.

According to an eyewitness, the owner is relocating the garment. But before that, the workers demand to clear their dues.

Mirpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mohsin confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said the blockade also hampered the vehicles' movement from Agargaon to Mirpur-10. 

Later, police dispersed them from the road around 12 pm and brought the vehicular movement normal," he added.
