DHAKA: Urmi Mahabub, Staff Correspondent of banglanews24.com, sustained injuries as muggers attacked her in capital’s Dhanamandi-27 area on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at around 10:00am while she was returning home by rickshaw.

Urmi Mahabub said that she got into a rickshaw in the area. Then a gang of mugger from a white coloured-microbus attacked her to take her laptop bag.

Hearing the victim’s screams and facing protest by her, the hijackers left the scene, leaving her injured.

Later, she was taken to emergency unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
