DHAKA: Opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance Thursday called for another spell of a 83-hour countrywide blockade from 6am Saturday to 5pm Tuesday, demanding cancellation of the schedule of the parliamentary polls and holding election under a non-party government.

Party’s standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan made the announcement this evening.

However, the 72-hour nationwide blockade is underway for the third consecutive day on Thursday.
